Rockaway.

Cleaned house + packed.
Then to Amagansett.

Goodwins invited us for
the evening.

(Dolly writes) Went to cancer dressing
then to Rose Kranz for
lunch. Lovely time.

Took Suzie to Schreiber +
car acted up on way
home

Tuesday, 23 June 1964

(Dolly writes) Dad went with Pastor to see
about taxes for church.

Then counting
then Council. Home at 10:30

(Dolly writes) Dolores stopped over
with kids.

Had to have the car
fixed.

(Dolly writes) Father’s Day – very warm

All here to celebrate including
Alice,  Helen, george, dennis

The Hoppes and Schreibers + Kranz Jr.

(Dolly writes) Dad went to Seaford with the
Hoppe kids.

All caught something –
Had a wonderful time.

Friday, 19 June 1964

(Dolly writes) Back porch didn’t turn out too well.

Started to get clothes together
for Amagansett.

Dad hauled wood from
Knox to pile. Was rather
tired went to bed early

Thursday, 18 June 1964

(Dolly writes) Beautiful Day.

Claire + kids came for lunch.
Claire to dentist. Then took them
to May’s. Bought a bathing
suit.

Dad painted floor of back porch.
Dad went to choir rehearsal
Home early

Muriel called – Asked her to come
Sunday. Bill has to go to
Oklahoma City. Told her
Mildred offered to tak Uncle Ernst
durting our vacation.

(Dolly writes) Dad went fishing with Warren +
Bob Goodwin – no fish –
I washed.

To bed early.

Helen Grey called to tell of death of
Marie Campbell.

Joyce called Uncle Ernst.

(Dolly writes) Dad was supposed to go fishing
with Warren + Goodwin.

Weather too blowy after storm
last night . Might go tomorrow.

I washed – good drying day.

Dad mowed lawn + edged.

Helen G called – asked me to take
devotions next May – O.K.
