First day of
school for Kathy +  Randy –
Hoppes got a new car – Rambler
station wagon. came over at
note to show it to us – Dad
slipped + fell in kitchen

Tuesday, September 7, 1965

Went to foot doctor
New shoes – feet  feeling
better.

Dad knocked off a few
balls.

Monday, September 6, 1965

At home – felt punk

Claire + family stopped by to
say hello.

Not too peppy yet – much
better tho.

Thursday, September 1, 1965

Supposed to go to lunch
at Salisbury for Nell’s
Poggenburg. Had diareah
so bad couldn’t go.

Stayed in bed all day.

Felt punk.

Ate nothing.

Stopped at Schreiber’s to
bring apple sauce for freezer.

No church today – too sick
from all the soda +  drinks

Saturday, August 28, 1965

W.E. Picnic. All went.
Had a good time. Terrific
downpour in midst of raff-
ling off prizes. Everybody
got soaking wet. Dropped
kids off at Schreiber’s and had
another downpour. When we got
home to Merrick there were a
lot of uprooted trees – also in
North Freeport.
