Dot Nelson stopped in in
afternoon and she told us
that Rudy was laid off
at Hazetine. What a
blow to them!

19 July 1964

Went to Kranz’s for Henry’s
birthday at 4PM. Had a
lovely time.

Stopped at Willie’s to see
Wil Winger and family
at 3:30PM. They seemed to
be fine. WW invited me
to play golf week after
next.

To church (both). Mommy
at 9. AM. I sang at both services.

Carl Thompson couldn’t
make it. Ferries on strike.

Uncle Ernst is OK which he

(Dolly writes) Uncle Ernst slept until 11 AM
Fever gone. Looks pale but
otherwise OK.

Ellen’s 9th Birthday. Don’t know
whether or not she will have a
party.

Dad to church to count.

To church to check on fans
with Kennedy. Towers(?) do not
fit properly. Diehl man was
there to check.

Stopped in at Dow’s
real estate to get appraisal
on house.

He stopped by in the PM
Suggested a low of $24,000
Said we could not hope to
get anything on same level –
smaller with less property
for $20,000.

Considering

Had Doctor for Uncle Ernst at
night. He had 101 1/2. Infection
some place. Doctor prescribed
medication – Will call
him on Wednesday.

Margie to Sunday School 1st
time. Sang at both
services.

To Wil + Dolores at 4PM for
Ellen’s pre-birthday party.
Uncle Ernst has a belly ache +
would rather not go.
